Fred McMahon is Michael Walker Chair of Economic Freedom Research at the Fraser Institute, Canada. He manages the Institute’s international economic policy research and the Economic Freedom Network of independent think tanks in 90 nations and territories. Fred is a co-author of the Economic Freedom of the Arab World Report and of the Economic Freedom of North America: Annual Report. He has authored three books, one of which was awarded the Antony Fisher Memorial Award. He has also written for many popular and academic publications.
