E. Calvin Beisner, Ph.D., is Founder and Director of the Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation, a network of Christian theologians, scientists, and economists, founded in 2005, working together to promote through education and public policy Biblical earth stewardship through sound ethics, science, and economics; economic development for the poor through property rights, free trade, entrepreneurship, and limited government; and the proclamation and defense of the good news of forgiveness of sins and reconciliation with God by faith in Jesus Christ. Beisner is an interdisciplinary scholar with degrees in interdisciplinary studies (philosophy, religion, classical languages, and classical history), economic ethics, and history (history of political thought) and extensive studies in the science and economics of climate change and climate policy. He has published eleven books, contributions to over thirty books, and hundreds of articles, technical and popular, on the application of Christian worldview, theology, and ethics to economics, government, and public policy. A former newspaper reporter, editor, and publisher, he served as Associate Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies at Covenant College, Lookout Mountain, GA, 1992–2000, and Associate Professor of Historical Theology and Social Ethics at Knox Theological Seminary, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 2000–2008.
