My passion for service and community has been something that has been apart of who I am since I was a child. Attending Texas A&M University, a small town army brat from Copperas Cove, Texas -- I had dreams that this was the first step to changing the world. Wow, have I been on the ride of a lifetime. After leaving aggieland I moved to Austin to pursue something of purpose...then my dad reminded me that you have to also make a living, I had forgotten the part about following your dreams of changing lives but also making sure you could eat and put a roof over your head. Austin is such a special place that has this level of opportunity to work hard and also have that feeling of a type of place you still run into people at the local market or random new foodie find -- their is a kindness you find in the heart of Austinites and a community that is all its own where everyone is connected by someone or something. Commercial Real Estate is where I spent the last of my time in Austin being a workaholic but enjoying the town lake runs I decided to pick up and move to my family ranch to regroup. The Lord really knew what he was doing because not even two months later I got the call to help Tom Pauken and took the Lead on the Finance Team and I found what it was like to go from thinking you are making a difference to learning about how to truly change the culture of America by starting at home, one of the most incredible experiences besides my old ESPN days. I found my calling by following my passion, I believe so strongly about helping Texas and this country figure out a way to use the younger generations and learn all we can from all of the men and woman who took on this life of public service that is more than just a job, it is a privilege and responsibility to every single one of us to make sure that our quality of life is one that is safe, secure and live with freedoms and our liberty, always. I want to do my part in any way that I can to make sure I am not only apart of that wonderful 24/7 fight for a better for the future of Texas and I am excited to learn all I can while lending a hand to programs and initiatives that truly embody my idea of being a person that can be humbled by the work of others and inspired to help do something that truly matters.
